SWEATER pink blush (for reference, size small)
A fashion post two weeks postpartum? I thought hard before sharing these photos, they are definitely not the best of me and I am definitely not where I’d like to be. But, this PINK BLUSH sweater is the perfect transition to momlife postpartum – and – I decided to share so you can see the reality behind all the pretty and staged Instagram posts and so that you can follow along on my postpartum journey. It’s been only two weeks (photos taken day 15 of having baby girl) and I have to say two things: (1) my pre-pregnancy jeans fit!!!! Yes, those were my go-to jeans! And, (2) zero shame for that mom bod! I love myself and I am comitted on taking care of myself to be able to take care of my family. I like to be the best version of myself possible and the only competition I have is myself.

WEIGHT GAIN & the struggle
I gained 25 lbs with this pregnancy, which is the least amount of weight gain from all three pregnancies but the struggle is real you guys. Our bodies are miracle makers, and it takes time to get to where we truly want to be – but the important part is that we have to give everything time. My body grew a tiny human for nine months, giving us one perfect baby girl. So, it will take time to get back to where I want to be. Until then I will be living in highwaist postpartum leggings and this lacey sweater from Pink Blush. Also, I will be looking into some highwaist mom bod friendly jeans! I hear Levi’s has some amazing jeans! (Any suggestions for me?)
HAIR LOSS & the positive
I know hair loss is a big one postpartum, but so far I haven’t seen any. I didn’t have much hair loss with my first two pregancies either other than the normal day to day hair loss. My hair has actually been amazing with all three pregnacies, I guess something has to be good – right?
MOMLIFE with three kids on daily basis
Someone please pinch me (but not hard) because this transition to three kids has been so smooth in our casa. It’s been pure joy seeing the boys love on their baby sister so much – my mama heart is so happy. I never knew my heart could hold so much love, until I had them and it’s bursting of love. The boys haven’t shown any signs of jealousy. If I am holding the baby, they both come to give her kisses and stare at her, and tell her how much they love her. It’s been truly a blessing, and it just reasures what I have known – that, motherhood is my muse and that I was meant for this. Being a mommy to these three has been the best part of my life.
AND, I am not mad about the sleepless nights, the midnight feedings, the fact that she constantly eats, because these newborn moments won’t last forever and I want to soak in every minute I get with her alone. The feedings are my favorite – midnight or midday as it’s our bonding time. I could stare at her all day, her perfect tiny face, that newborn smell, that soft hair, the tiniest little hands that have a hard grip and ocassionally she’ll give me the sweetest smile. I love these moments with her.
Can you relate?
Thanks so much for following along – this journey of ours is something I will forever cherish. I appreciate all of your comments, messages and constant support. It means so much, this mom community is the best.
