30th Birthday

Hello!

Yesterday I turned 30, and quickly said good bye to my twenties!! My twenties… They were great – they gave me my three biggest blessings and forever left marks on me! I will never take anything for granted anymore, and I’ll never sit and bluntly judge anyone’s life. I feel that thirties are working out what feeds your soul and nurturing that.

We had brunch at one of my favorite restaurants, followed by a mini celebration at our place with family, and birthday cake of course.

Today…today is the first day of my thirties and guess what? I am so freakinnnnn excited!!!! If you know me, you know I could care less about numbers! In fact, all I care about is feeling good in my own skin and looking my best! So cheers to thirties!

In my thirties, I want to focus more on what makes me happy:

1. Nurturing my tribe. I have always been the type to value quality over quanity when it comes to friends, and over time my circle of friends has settled into a wonderful group of people.

2. Learn to say ‘NO’ more. It comes down to spending as much time with the family and making memories together. I cannot say yes to everything.

3. Learn to love my body. It’s all about embracing our bodies, the miracles they have created and continue to nurture. Taking time for myself to exercise daily, whether it be a short walk or hitting the gym is what I need.

4. Travel. I want to travel more. Anywhere.

I picked up this dress by Who What Wear instead of the red one that I mentioned on Insta. Love the color on this one and it’s perfect for Fall too! It’s a wrap dress, super comfy too and nursing friendly, mamas! It also makes for a perfect postpartum dress.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!

  1. Beautiful birthday babe! ❤️ Entering the next decade with optimism, beauty & sparkle! Love it! I hope that you’ll accomplish all that you wrote about & more!

  2. Happy birthday!
I love this post. My sister in law always said there was such a shift in her thoughts and values when she turned 30. Now 36, she refers to them as her “learning 30s”. Cheers to you learning all the lessons about life and yourself 💕
