Darling today you turn one
And just like that our little lady Anastasija is ONE today. I never really shared her birth story with you as it was nothing out of ordinary. Nonetheless, it was beyond beautiful and the first time I held her in my arms tears of joy came. She was so perfect, so beautiful. I don’t think I can ever forget those moments at the hospital. You can read her Welcome to the World baby Anastasija here.
I am beyond happy I have been able to stay with her these past twelve months, and unlike the boys not miss one single thing. It has been a year full of adventures, milestones, laughs, and a whole lot of fun. So, I thought I’d share 12 things for 12 months I never want to forget about her.
12 things I never want to forget
ONE. The way you say Mama.
TWO. You sleeping in your mini crib in our bedroom from Day One, and never wanting to co-sleep.
THREE. All that baby hair you were born with and still have on your first birthday.
FOUR. You showed zero interest in crawling, until you were e l e v e n months old. Then you started crawling, and still are.
FIVE. The way you butt scoot around the house. I crack up every single time I see you doing it.
SIX. Just how much you love to take baths and cry every time I take you out of water.
SEVEN. The way you look at your dad, follow him with your eyes and give him that most special smile ever.
EIGHT. Watching you fall asleep on your own in your crib with your paci and swaddle blanket.
NINE. The way you laugh when your big brothers are being silly. The way you follow them to the room and play with them.
TEN. You love to organize all the kitchen cabinets, take down all the decor you can reach, knock over things that are in your way. So curious.
ELEVEN. When you crawl and get stuck under everything. Crawling backwards and getting stuck under the table, your brother’s bed, behind the couch, under the bench, and more.
TWELVE. The way you smashed that birthday cake girl. OMG!
Happy Birthday to the sweetest and most fierce little girl ever!
and, now the birthday cake smash!
She totally destroyed the cake! She loved it, and I am so glad I let her do it! Needless to say, we need a cleaning crew to clean the mess and a bath for the birthday girl was in order, but it was all so worth it.
