Hi beauties! I had so much fun putting this outfit together, and to be honest it was a little out of my comfort zone. Being petite, I never dared to try on wide leg pants. But, this year I am open to trying all trends and making them work with my style and my body because this body is here to stay.
I am tired of waiting to be a certain size, waiting to lose those extra ten pounds or just not trying something because it may not work. I want to feel good in my own skin, and I want you to feel good in your skin too mama. This is just a reminder for you, and me too, to try things you never thought would look good on you.
I picked up these wide leg pants in black with a little pattern. Black looks good on everyone, and if I am trying something different you better believe I will pick a color that suits every body type.
These are high waist, meaning they accentuate my curves well and also hide my tummy. I don’t like the feel of muffin tops, so mid-rise or high-rise is my go to, always. You can wear these pants with a tank top in Summer. And, if you want it even more casual, top it off with a denim jacket.
Then, I picked up this lightweight sweater in this pastel color to offset the dark bottoms. This color is perfect for Spring, and works well with every other color. This sweater is so soft. I decided to tuck it in to accentuate the waist and the high rise of the pants. This sweater would also work well with jeans, skirts or shorts. It’s one of those sweaters you’d want to wear on a chilly Summer night too.
Next, I wanted to pick a pair of shoes that would not emphasize my feet rather blend with skin to make it more fitting. These blush sandals were the perfect find, and let me tell you guys, they are sooooo comfortable! On a side note, I think these are coming with me to Europe this Summer.
You already know my love for these earrings, they just go perfectly with everything. I am obsessed with this blush color this year.
Also, how cute would this outfit be for Easter? For anyone that wants an alternative to wearing a dress for Easter, this outfit is for you.
The Trench Coat
You already know I am living in this trench coat. It works perfectly over any outfit this Spring. And it will transition to Fall too. You can also see how I styled this trench coat with jeans here.
Hope you guys liked this post and the way I styled these pants. I love pieces like this that I can wear in Spring, and then transition to Summer.
